In this comic strip the rabbit is really happy because it is the first day of spring. The raccons are just there not caring that it is the first day of spring. What i find the comic strip saying is that when its some sort of event some people care and some people do. So if someone is excited about something and the others arent they  just recognize the event that is happening and are still like whatever.
